Galentine's Day Makeup 💗 [ vid + pics ]

Hello Cuties~  You know I wouldn't forget you guys!  I wanted to wish you a happy Valentine's Day and my gift to you is a new video! ♥
I absolutely LOVE using these colors so you know I was just itching to create a look for Valentine's Day.  Even though I was excited to do my makeup, I was lost as to what to do exactly.  I was seeing so many creative looks, but I didn't want to just copy them.  Instead of stressing, I just threw on colors and used my favorite palettes.  Surprisingly, Modern Renaissance wasn't used for this makeup look. 👀
Let's get reeaally close and personal lol

So~ what do you think?
I had this thought the other day that even if Valentine's Day is over, who's going to stop me from drawing hearts all over my face?  lol  Absolutely no one!  After doing my makeup for this video, it sort of kicked off this creative urge.  I want to do more!!
(✧ ꒪◞౪◟꒪)
What did you guys do for Valentine's Day?  Did you spend it with your significant other?  With your loved ones or friends?  I sat around and ate lots of chocolate!  I needed to relax after filming and spending the day with Prince.
Not sure about y'all but doing intricate or "extensive" makeup tires me.  But I'm happy we got to see each other~ (it's been a really busy week)  I cannot wait to buy discounted candy this weekend!
And if you think you didn't have a valentine, think again!  Amiman will be your platonic valentine forever! ♥ I wuv you all!

New Year, New Video! | Cut Crease GRWM

Hello Cuties~  I hope you are enjoying your holidays.  It's officially the new year, 2019!  I know people are sick of the whole "new year, new me" line, but I'm ready to make some changes for myself this year.  I've made it my goal to live a more positive life.  I've also made it my mission to be more productive this year.  Do you have any new year resolutions?

To kick my year off on the right foot, I decided to get off my butt and put out a video.  Since I didn't create a Christmas look, I thought a new year look would be fun to try.  And when I think of New Year celebrations, I think of glitter and glitz!  Here's my finished look

Products Used
FACE
  • rimmel stay matte primer
  • estée lauder double wear foundation
  • la girl pro concealer - chestnut
  • black radiance blush - toasted almond
  • black opal powder - medium
  • colourpop brow boss - soft black

EYES
  • urban decay primer potion
  • anastasia beverly hills - modern renaissance
  • the crayon case - box of crayons
  • juvia's place - masquerade
  • nyx glitter - 06 crystal
  • some random ebay palette
  • nyx epic ink liner
  • decorative eyelashes - no. 13 / no. 16

LIPS
  • colourpop lux lipstick - on display
  • nyx intense butter gloss - apple crisp

I tried my hand at another cut crease makeup look.  I feel as though I did better than my previous attempts.  Perhaps I could've cut my crease higher buuut I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.  Besides creating new content for the new year, my purpose with this makeup look was to try out new makeup items.  I picked up two foundation samples recently, and got a new eyeshadow palette and eyebrow pencil.
As far as the products I tried out, I like Colourpop's brow boss pencil.  It takes a little work but I think once I get my eyebrows waxed the pencil will work out a lot smoother.  I don't have a full opinion on the foundation just yet.  I decided to try out Estée Lauder's double wear foundation.  I don't think I applied enough so that's why I want to retry the foundation.  I was afraid of looking too cakey so I went light-handed.  I'm loving the Juvia's Place Masquerade palette!  I used it a little for this look but you'll see more of it in the future.
I hope you enjoy the video!

Gal Lessons: Applying Falsies Tutorial

What is this? An update!  Took me long enough, right?

I apologize guys I've been pretty sidetracked as of recent.  However I'm always plotting and thinking of new looks to try.  SO, don't worry, I have things to look forward to hopefully very soon.  Last post I said I'd share the false eyelash tutorial so here it is~  I hope you enjoy it despite my shabby filming, lighting and overall setup lol.

How to Apply Falsies (Gyaru tips 'n tricks)

Hello Cuties~ I'm back with the second portion to the prior post!  Aren't you curious as to what I filmed?  It's been requested that I do a video on how I apply false eyelashes!  Now, as I mentioned in said video, I'm no professional but I thought I'd just give this a try.  I'm also not the best instructor but I really do hope you like the video!

The purpose of the video and this post is to also demonstrate how to modify, stack and apply eyelashes and accent pieces.  I've always studied the tutorials in Egg, especially when they show how they stack lashes and share what brands they use.  So I've attempted to do the same thing here.

Stacking lashes can be done in various ways.  Each number represents eyelash parts and the arrows depict where each part is placed on the eye.
There's the basic method of stacking where you use two whole upper eyelashes and place them on top of each other.
The next common method of stacking involves the addition of "snippets" or accent piece lashes either in the middle of the eye as shown here . . .
. . . or additions on the inner corner or outer corners of the eyes.  And lets not forget about the lower lashes!
In my demonstration, I decided to use the second and third methods by adding accent pieces to the middle and outer eye.

-- MAP --
Once I've uploaded the video, I will share it here on my blog.  I'm thinking the title will be along the lines of Gal Lessons:  Applying Lashes.  But how do you guys feel about making "Gal Lessons" a section here on Alice in Gyaruland?  Every so often I'll tackle "how to" videos and posts on skills that Gyaru use.  Sound like a good idea?

♥Galoween | Menhera Nurse Makeup Tutorial♥

Hello cuties~
In the previous post I finally revealed my Gal-o-ween
look!  A menhera nurse! ♥  If you haven't given that post
a read, I recommend it!  I tried my best at explaining
menhera, my look's concept, and why I support menhera.
But he purpose of this post is to share my menhera
gyaru makeup tutorial~

In the post prior to this I talked a great deal about
menhera and it's concepts and visuals.
Today I want to discuss other visual aspects that
influenced this makeup look.
One really big inspiration was
Kuua Oyasumi ♥ she's an artist and model, and seems
to be an avid supporter of menhera.  I was inspired
by her both her art and her makeup style.
Another visual that inspired me was this image:
This is what inspired me to do the fake tears!
When I saw this I just HAD to attempt it
and I just happened to have a glue gun and
a few glue sticks lying around and got to work.
It was fun!  I'm still butt-hurt over the fact
that I forgot to include the tears into the
actual tutorial . . .
Sooo perhaps you're wondering, why be a
nurse?  The main reason is that medical /
hospital imagery is commonly used in
menhera.  I also liked toying with the idea
of a self destructive nurse.  Someone who is
usually taking care of others, is actually in need
of help herself.  So this look followed after that idea.
While referring to my countless hospital trips on insta,
I explained my use of fake blood.  During that time I thought
my issues were purely physical and endured many tests and
appointments.  Therefore, the blood is to represent all the
wasted blood.
I hope that this may have clarified my
visual concept lol I was afraid to even do
this at first.  I thought maybe my ideas would
be misconstrued.  But everything has a place and
a purpose within this look.

Once again, I hope you enjoyed this!
Thank you to everyone who supports me by
watching, reading, liking and commenting on my
posts or videos ♥
