Trio Of Terror👻 | Jelly Much Shadow Review

Hello Cuties~

I thought the "spooky" banners would be fitting since today I'll be reviewing the Trio of Terror set from Colourpop!  Thank you Natsumi for this idea~

I was gifted this Jelly Much set this past Christmas and finally got around to using them!

For those not familiar, Jelly Much Shadows are a particular type of eyeshadow sold by Colourpop.  "Its unique water-based formula saturates the pigment for immediate intense color right on application."  It's very different from their supershock shadows; a bit wetter, with a paste-like consistency.

Shades: Shock • Barrel • Lock
* one swipe swatches

So far I've only had the joy of using Shock, the fuchsia shade.  I wore it during my trip, but recently used it again for my b-day look.  Both times I did use a primer, although Colourpop says it does not need an eyeshadow primer.  (I used mine out of habit, I intend to use it without a primer one day to test this.)  The eyeshadow did dry down to a powder and I did not have to set it with any other eyeshadows.  I wore this for 14 hours!  It outlasted my birthday shenanigans so I'm more than happy!  No transferring, no creasing, no fading just as advertised.  (Seriously.)

Took the first picture at noon, second picture is close to 2am.  My whole face basically remained the same as I left it at noon (aside from my nose contour fading from my face mask).  I give thanks to some new products I'll make a separate post for ~ (^_-)≡☆

I'd like to add that all three eyeshadows are very sparkly, my photos don't do Lock justice.  I plan to use Barrel next, and quite frankly I can see it becoming my everyday color.  These are going to make eyemake a breeze!

Thanks for reading!
xoxo, Amiman ♥

As it "Ferns" Out...She's "Glitterally" Obsessed!

Two posts in one week?  Who am I?

Hello Cuties~  I've missed dressing up and doing makeup so I got my special helper to assist me in piecing this look together.  It was actually a part of my new manicure at the time.  Prince was challenged to put together a mani using my Color Street nails.  But~ in very "Prince" fashion, everything must be cohesive 🙄 (lol).  So a complementing outfit and makeup was needed.  And thus, this look was born~

Top . . . Forever21
Shorts . . . Fashion Nova
Foxtail . . . Amazon
Shoes . . . Rue 21
Jewelry . . . Bunny Crafty Dream, Forever21

Prince helped me choose the outfit too!  (But accessories was all me (*´▽`*).)

* and hair style~ I'm very proud of it hehe

Whew this was difficult in the beginning!  I got to use my new eyeshadow base / primer from Juvia's Place; so that helped out a lot with making my yellow eyeshadow pop.  However, I realized in comparison with the top I was wearing, it wasn't a deep enough shade.  I found a lovely yellow gold eyeshadow in one of my (many) forgotten Makeup Revolution chocolate palettes and placed that on top.  Popping an orange in as my crease color was kind of spontaneous.  I wasn't sure about it until the very end and then I ended up loving it (lol).

I was dying to try one of the glitter gels from the Lizzie McGuire collection and finally got the chance!  I used a small brush to apply "Sing to Me Paolo" under my eyes.

I figured why not top things off with one of the So Juicy glosses too!  This shade is "Ethan Craft" (how cute, right?).  It's orange tinted, has glitter and it's bubble gum flavored if that's your thing (lol).

And lastly, the inspiration behind it all. . .

Tada!  Prince's creation~  He wanted a yellow theme so Belgian Buttercup, a solid yellow, was the basis.  As it Ferns Out was a perfect pair with the yellow.  And I agreed with him that a glitter overlay would look nice over the yellow!  So this completed the look 💛  I love how it turned out~  Do you?

Liz Lisa Autumn Release: Antique Dressup Doll (+ gets!)

Hello Cuties~ Or should I say Dollies?  Have you guys seen Liz Lisa's newest release?  Liz Lisa's official Instagram posted images of their new Autumn collection this morning and I'm SUPER excited to say the least.
The theme is "Antique Dress up Doll"!  The collection is subtly sweet for the most part.  I feel as though the entire collection breaks up into 3 different sections.  One section comes off mature yet sweet.  Soft and feminine.  Never thought I'd love a long skirt or dress from Liz Lisa, but here we are!
And may I say, I am loving the lilac!  It's my favorite color, so you know I would probably sell an organ to get my hands on one of those pieces.  Perhaps it's just me being biased, but one portion seems very Larme influenced.
I'm sure you've already guessed it, this is where I started crying tears of "overseas broke girl".  And you're correct.  I adore the shoes, the pants and the top.  Don't even get me started on the jewelry, this entire portion can have my wallet for God's sake.
˚‧º·(˚ ˃̣̣̥᷄⌓˂̣̣̥᷅ )‧º·˚
What is an Autumn Liz Lisa collection without a bit of bordeaux?  It's possibly one of my favorite things about Autumn releases.  You just know Liz Lisa will come out with the most beautiful timeless and classic pieces in this color.  The dress looks so nice, I'm a sucker for the ribbons on the collar.  The pink items are just as lovely!  (I really want that beret )
The plaid makes a return!!  I almost always forget Liz Lisa puts out brown x bordeaux plaid items as well.  It's super cute and reminds me of old detective movies lol
So what do think of the Autumn collection?  What's your favorite item?  I'm not sure if they've had lilac items before, but I'd love it if it appeared more often!  But that's just me since I love the color lol  Do you like this Larme-ish vibe of half of the collection?  I haven't really been paying attention to Liz Lisa releases as of late so it seemed like a new step for them.  For the most part, they've been sticking to their staple pieces and classic Liz Lisa style.  But I'd love to know what you think!
Y'all . . . I couldn't help myself.  I've purchased more makeup 。゚(゚∩´﹏`∩゚)゚。  This time from Colourpop and The Crayon Case.  I'm not sure if you guys have heard about the latter, but it's a black owned brand and based here in New Orleans!  Her entire brand surrounds school supplies!  It's fun, colorful and nostalgic.  I suggest y'all give her a site a look, but back to the gets!!!
I purchased two Lux lipsticks from Colourpop in the colors:
  • Foolish - deepened orange
  • On Display - bright pinky red
First of all they have stars carved into the lipstick and that excites me for no reason lmao.  Secondly I've been itching to have an orange lipstick for the Summer and finally I have one that I think looks pretty nice on my complexion!  I bought On Display as a back up if Foolish turned out to be too light.  But I'm happy with both shades!
A moment please for this palette.  I've been waiting for a chance to pick this up and finally I gave in!  This beauty, "Box of Crayons" palette, goes for $30.  And shipped extremely fast!  I haven't touched a single eyeshadow yet.  It's just so perfect I can't bring myself to do it yet. (ノД`)・゜・。

But fear not, this only means the "looks" are coming my cuties~

Sunset Make | Colourpop Swatch Video! ♥

Hello cutie patooties~
Last night I got to editing and actually finished the swatch video before going to bed!
And I posted it earlier today~
As you may be able to see, I've changed where I film!
*Details

I got to use 3 of the eyeshadows from my mini Colourpop haul for this look!
I believe I used:
slim fit, making moves, and criss cross
By this being solely a swatch video, I didn't get to share my thoughts much.

While the shades are beautiful and the color payoff is great,
there is quite a lot of fall out with these eyeshadows.
But I expected such when I purchased these (from other's reviews and simply because pressed powders tend to do this).

At the moment they seem to work well with wet brushes if you really want to pack on the color and intensity.  They blend beautifully ok!
That may be my favorite quality to them.
Plus the shimmers are superb, as expected Colourpop always delivers with their shimmer eyeshadows.  The shimmer shades are very vibrant and velvety to the touch!

SO overall I like the eyeshadows, but I think I love their super shock shadow formula more.
The matte pressed powders are nice but tend to blend away super easily.  You have to work for it if you want defined colors and details!

I hope you enjoy this video~~
And as always, thank you for watching and reading!

P.S.
