Short post here~ Just wanted to share the upkeep / maintenance of this hairstyle. It took a few different trials and methods until I found what worked best. The satin rods did absolutely nothing. Flexi rods kind of worked, they left me with subtle waves. Velcro roller were a pain in the ass. Eventually I stumbled across a video on instagram where they used socks. I followed their tips and left my hair a little damp before wrapping it around the socks.
It works best with long socks. I drape one over my head (like a headband) and use a claw to keep the sock in place. Then I start wrapping one side at a time. I found staring the curl outwards, away from my face makes a really flattering shape. I've seen people somehow get the sock to stay put with out it unravelling but, I just use a rubber band at the ends to keep mine together. Less fuss and disappointment quite frankly. The only good use I got out of the velcro rollers were re-curling my bangs.
And so this is how I look in the morning. Everything stayed in place after sleeping. I tug everything off and my curls are set for the day!
I just wanted to share an impromptu inspo post!
(I've gotta post it somewhere right?)

I've mentioned before that I wish to get
better at hair styling. So I've gathered a few
images of hairstyles I wish to try~
It's kinda hard to see what's being done because it's small
but it looks like each pigtail is loosely braided at the base.
I'm just really in love with braided styles~
More braids~ and this one looks super easy to do!
This updo will probably be a challenge to do with a wig
(at least i think so..)
Speaking of wigs I'm itching to get a new one!
Sarah and I have planned a girls' day this upcoming
week and we should totally go wig shopping.
I'm pretty sure I won't find anything as eye catching
as Mokorieri's hair:
But maybe I can find something similar to Anzulu?
Here are some wig styles that I'll be looking out for
