The Kuromi to my Melody | Sister Trip ♥

Hello Cuties~

It's time for the fun updates!  My sister and I recently returned from California where we attended P1-Harmony's concert!  While it was a short trip, I enjoyed myself.  Especially since this was our first sister trip!

Wish I could say things went off without any hiccups, but I must say we didn't do too bad on our own.  My anxiety wouldn't let me be great (lol) and I had a nervous tummy.  But we made it safely to Cali with PLENTY of time to waste before the hotel check-in time.  They were kind enough to let us drop off our luggage (we wanted to avoid the early check in fee).  And we were off to the mall!

(And don't worry, I took tons of pics of my sister for her own socials~)

As usual, we were blown away by the sheer size of this mall.  We picked Del Amo Fashion Center since it wasn't far from where we would be staying.  I promised I'd pace myself but the first store I stopped in grabbed me by the throat (lmaoo).

A super fandom shop!  Merch from all kinds of characters and even kpop!  The bee Gudetama was HUGE I couldn't possibly fit that in my duffle bag.  I did leave with a plushie though~

Bought this super cute dress too~

After wandering around for what felt like an eternity, we decided to eat.  And this was another reason why we settled on this mall.  To have my sister try Din Tai Fung for the first time!  I've raved about this place to her for so long, I couldn't wait to hear her thoughts.

The staff here was so sweet!  One of the waitresses took our picture with the dumpling mascot.  Our waiter took his time explaining the menu and how to properly eat some of the dishes too.  My sister loves good thorough instructions (lol).

Sweet and sour ribs~
We chose pork xiao long bao and chicken too!
Almost forgot to take a pic of these spicy wontons before we completely devoured them.

(๑ᵔ⤙ᵔ๑)

More mall stomping!!!  We stumbled across a false nail vending machine?!

I'm literally kicking myself for not buying a pair.  (ㅠ﹏ㅠ)  But I was distracted by the photo booth space two feet away (lol).  My sister wanted to try the high angle room, but we failed miserably at looking as cool as others (lmao)!  You can pick as many props as you like, we decided to be cowgirls~

Eventually we dragged our tired bodies to our hotel to finally check in.  Again, I must give us a pat on the back.  Getting to our local airport at 4am and running around in LA by 8am is not for the weak (lol)!  But we did it and managed to have fun for our first day~  Next post will be about the concert!!

See you next post!

Lookbook: Day To Night 🌙

Hello Cuties~

For some time I've yearned to share these photos, and the time has finally come!  The last issue of Papillon released in March.  If you missed it, visit this post (and the link to read the magazine is here).

It's been a while since I've done a Lookbook post!  I'm so excited to share this one with you all!  This one is going to be a little different from my previous Lookbooks because this was a Beauty Edition of Papillon.  Coordinates weren't the focal point of this magazine; it was more about makeup this go-around!  You know I couldn't help but prepare coords too.  But enough blabbing, onto my first look.

When it comes to this look, I shocked myself!  Both, in the moment of taking these photos, and seeing the final results.  I recall feeling like THIS was my best work.  I was extremely proud of it, and honestly I still am.  When I was assigned to be in the "Day to Night" segment, I assumed a coordinate was required as well (lol).  The models were asked to show a good example of converting a daytime look, into a fun night out look.

I drew inspo from this photo :

Bear in mind these were taken two years ago, so my skills weren't what they are now. (¯▿¯||;)

sweater - - - Ann Taylor (thrifted)
skirt - - - Fashion Nova
boots - - - Charlotte Russe

It's clear I really loved the "night out" look.  When I bought this skirt, this is the first outfit I envisioned.  In the end I created a very chic and sexy Onee Gyaru look!

For the "night" version, I added iridescent glitter on the inner corner and lower lashes.  And for the lips, I switched my plain gloss for a berry lipstain.

Makeup inspo :

So what do you think of my Day to Night look?  I would love to give this concept another try.  I have the confidence that I can produce a better makeup look.

Thank you so much for reading!!!  I have more to share from the latest Papillon release, so stay tuned~

Army Brat 💚 (Halloween Day + Gets)

It was a dark and stormy Halloween night . . . kidding, it was a really pleasant day.  I had to work but I decided to go in costume!  Everyone was in a good mood, I even got a goodie bag from my manager (candy & Starbucks gift card — so nice of him~)!  I also took the day as an excuse to finally wear Gyaru makeup to work!

I had nothing new to wear so I recycled a costume I wore ages ago.  Originally I wore this as a dress, but I had to make it work appropriate and decided to pair it with skinny jeans.  Tossed on a tank top to cover my cleavage and some combat boots and I was ready to go!

I forgot to do my inner corner eyeliner (҂` ロ ´).  ぴえん ~ pien   But I think my makeup still turned out pretty nice.  No one I work with (outside of my boyfriend and friend Katie) has seen me in gal-mode.  So It was fun seeing people's reactions to my makeup and lenses.

I'll tell you what . . . this costume gave me major flashbacks to high school ROTC class.  Shit was intense if we had competitions against other schools.  I can still hear our Sergeant barking orders at us (lol).

It was fun being the Sergeant this time (hehe).  I had tons of fun spreading the Halloween spirit around~  I had no other plans, so I stayed in for the night and watched horror movies with Prince.  Perfect ending to a great day!

I'm so very late to wishing you guys a Happy Halloween, but I hope it was fun for you all!  Since then, I've been hoarding gets I've been meaning to share with you.

Went a little too hard in 5&Below (lol).  And the satin scarf is from the beauty supply store!  It mimics LV's print~
Got a Jack Skellington Santa hat to match my Nightmare Before Christmas pjs I bought recently.  Can you believe that was in 5&Below?!  Also got a creepy Pennywise airpod case from there too.

Made my way into Ulta too!  And guess what was finally in stock :  Essence Princess liner pens!!!  I got 2 of the waterproof versions.  I also picked up a random palette from Essence too.  I plan to use it and let you know about the quality of their eyeshadows.  (I purchased the "Welcome to Miami" palette if anyone is curious.)
I knew about the newest Hello Kitty & Friends collection by Forever21, but I thought I'd behave myself and not purchase anything.  I was wrong (lol).  I got a Christmas sweater and a super cute keyhole top!  The charm is a bedazzled Hello Kitty head and a pink heart!  I also picked up some festive accessories~

And lastly, my newest baby~ (/▽\*)。o○♡  A zebra Hello Kitty squishmallow!  I'm OBSESSED!!  This is my third squishmallow I've bought.  So far I have mermaid Hello Kitty and ice cream cone My Melody.  I'm patiently waiting to see if we get any of the other versions or characters in store~  The addiction never ends!
