A Velvet Dream 🤎

Hello Cuties!

     This past Sunday was my birthday!  It's mind-boggling that I was freely parading downtown during my last birthday!  It's been an entire year and I still can't wrap my mind around the fact that I haven't seen some people and some places for a whole year.  However, I didn't let a modified lockdown put me in the dumps.  I rather enjoyed celebrating my birthday week this year!

     I set up the whole week to be with my sweet Prince~  We secured many snacks and delicious food during our break.  I got to visit Sweet Handkraft, try a new ice cream and flavored cone, and pick up my favorite cookie!  Side note, their cookies are HUGE and freshly baked!  My mom got me a King Cake instead of a traditional birthday cake~  And I also got to try a new bubble tea flavor.

     My family kept everything very "on brand". (lol)

     As for the day of my birthday, I got up early to claim my free coffee drink!  Not sure why this excited me so much, but I was pretty geeked for my treat.  The day turned out a lot warmer than I planned for so the frappe kept me from melting.  The goal was to have fun and have my own nini shoot.

     I took some proper pictures in front of my own little gift to myself!  I know my yellow Beetle was iconic, but it was her time to go.  And speaking of gifts, my friend Sarah got me something amazing!!

     Sixteen year old me is screaming!!!  I've always wanted a pair of Demonia's!  I can't wait to rock these. (´♡‿♡`)

     Coffee in hand, we set off to find the perfect spot to take photos.  We found comfort in the abandoned theater some distance away from my Parish. 

     By this time the sun had come out to play, and I had to go to plan b.  An outfit switch!

     It might not seem like much to some, but I had a great time and I'm grateful for the time I got to spend with my family and loved ones.  I didn't expect to receive anything this year.  Last year was rough on everyone and I was happy to just be able to see another birthday.  My special day was to celebrate a few different things, and to remind myself  not to lose focus of my 2021 goal; self love and self worth.
