Eat Your Heart Out

Hello Cuties~

     Although carnival season has come and gone, I wanted to share the one thing I did do.  After talking about king cakes (on my birthday post), I was craving one.  My mom heard about a new(ish) bakery serving non traditional king cakes and I just HAD to have one.

     I heard about S.S. Sweets through a news segment.  The owner earned a high rank during a king cake contest.  But S.S Sweets doesn't have a physical bakery yet, they do however deliver and sell their cakes at temporary locations.  Their instagram page also lead me to "King Cake Connections", a king cake hub.  Basically they have goodies from multiple bakeries and artists all in one place.  It's a good way for these bakers to gain exposure.  And let me tell you, I'm SO glad I went!

 

     There it is!  S.S. Sweet's sweet potato cream cheese king cake!  SO, so yummy!  It's decadent without being too cloying.  The candied pecan pieces on top are the perfect topping.  Even though I solely went for this, I discovered some more people and treats like Nola Cookie Co.!  

     It was tempting to eat all of the treats right then and there, but first . . . lunch.  It was rather cold this day so we decided to have some ramen.  I thought gps lead us the wrong way but apparently our favorite ramen spot has a second location!

     The perfect pick me up for such a cold, dreary day.  I was in such a good mood the rain didn't even bother me.

     With how chilly it was, Prince thought it'd be great to try out a place we've had our eyes on for a while.

     The Peach Cobbler Factory was amazing~  There's actually more than just peach cobbler!  You can choose from many different fruit versions.  You can have it with ice cream as well.  I picked caramel apple cobbler with vanilla ice cream.  And my boyfriend chose their most popular:  sweet potato pecan cobbler with vanilla ice cream.  His was so much better than mine (-ω-、) lol!!!  But what's better than hot cobbler on a cold winter night with your favorite person~

     It's crazy how this was just last month, yet it feels like ages ago (lol).  Bear with me guys I'm almost caught up.  See you next post!
