To keep this post from sounding like many of my previous
ones, I'll share tips I wish someone would've given me
when I got into Gyaru.
- Although Japanese brand is nice, it's not everything. You definitely can create great coordinates with off brand clothes and accessories and STILL be Gyaru. Not that anybody told me otherwise, it was rather a feeling I brought on myself. I felt lesser for not owning brands. And even though I plan to grow my brand wardrobe, that doesn't make me "better". (Below are coordinates with off brand pieces from thrift stores, forever21, and outlets)
- Don't destroy your hair with teasing and back-combing to do sujimori or hime hair. Use a wig or a half wig lol
- You can save some bucks when it comes to eyelashes. Look into Beauty Supply stores in your area! Buying falsies like Eyemazing, Diamond Lash, and Dolly Wink online from overseas can get pricey (shipping is a mother we all know it lol). But again, brand isn't everything. (below are some lashes I've purchased for $2 from beauty supply stores or cheap from drugstores)

- Don't be afraid to talk to other Gals, make friends. The right people will come around, don't feel discouraged by people who are tearing Gals down.
- Just have fun! Things are a lot easier when you're not being so harsh on yourself. When you let go and just express yourself freely with Gyaru, you won't be so anxious or worried about if you're "doing things right". And that covers from going out publicly with friends, to being Gyaru at uni or work (if it permits), to posting pictures anywhere.

Yes to all of this!!! Most of the pieces I have are actually offbrand! And I never could get my hair big with teasing. I don't think I'm doing it right xD it's also so much better looking for those random cheaper lashes. They are just as dramatic! And I still have yet to meet up with other gyaru Dx I'm just so nervous :(

I cringe thinking of when I used to try teasing my hair ＼(;´□｀)/ my hair would end up a tangled matted mess, I don't think I was doing it right either lmao! And you know I love the lashes~ I don't think I'll ever stop repurchasing the cheap beauty supply store eyelashes lol. (hmmm maybe I can stock up on my favs and include them in a future giveaway?) DON'T LOSE HOPE! We'll get to experience meeting up with other gyaru one day~ ♥ ps. I'm nervous too xD
