GRWM vid: Quick Kawaii Beat (aye~)

Hello Cuties~ I uploaded this a week ago so forgive me for making this post so late.  I hope ya'll enjoy the video!

     I dubbed this video "Quick Kawaii Beat" because the plan was to "beat my face" in a timely matter. Buuuut I'm awful at staying focused when it's not dire for me to.  SO yes, I was suppose to do this quickly, however I ended up taking my usual hour. errr ╮(ਊ◞‸◟ਊ|||)╭  But hey, at least I got half of the agenda done (I look kawaii, no?).

     I'm getting on my own back about the circle lens review post and video.  So please anticipate it.  I hope to get both out soon~

GRWM : to go absolutely nowhere . . .

     Hello Cuties~  I filmed a "Get ready with me" video Monday to go . . . nowhere in particular.  (。≖ˇ∀ˇ≖。)  However that's usually the case with me, isn't it?  It's almost commonplace for me to just doll up for pictures and not even leave my home.  Only these past two years have I been regularly going out.  BUT anyway.  I actually intended to go out, but plans were cancelled.  But hey, at least I got a decent video out of it!

     I haven't got around to editing it just yet but I will very soon.  I want to get into the habit of posting and uploading regularly.  First step being this blogpost, then the video.  Or maybe simultaneously since I tend to take eons to finish writing a blog post lol.  (Does that happen to you guys?)

     In nearly every video I've done, I haven't had a "plan" for my makeup; I just wing it.  No exception here lol I just picked up two palettes I felt like playing in and created this look.

     For this look I reached for palettes that I knew would be easy to just play around in.  Basically I look for a palette that almost lays out complementary shades.  Usually for me, palettes that follow a pink, rose, and purple layout are the easiest to work with.  I used W7 Colour me Nude and Huda Beauty's the New Nude palette.

   I made a point to use my newer cosmetic items again.  This time I got a chance to incorporate the Ashanti lashes from Lena Lashes!  I really do love these falsies.  They're really fluffy and fluttery~ ♥  Not only did I use my new makeup, I also coordinated some of my new clothing.  I paired my white Liz Lisa camisole with my pink shorts. (that I still don't know the brand of lol) I'm just going to assume they're a liz lisa replica.

     Also, what do you think of my new hairstyle?  I wanted to have braids for the summer since it's so easy to maintain.  I also have to thank fellow gaijin Ebony because she made the point to show how hairstyles like this can easily fit into kawaii styles.  I'm so happy to see representation like that.  It definitely gave me that self loving boost that I needed!

     Apart from the GRWM video, I was also filming a contact lens review for the QuoRe Ice Brown lenses.  I changed my normal set up to be downstairs and took advantage of the window lighting.  While I haven't checked all of the footage, I'm hoping it looks really good.  I got to break out one of my new backgrounds too!  I love the shade of pink and I think it'll go really well with a lot of my future looks.

      This was my first time wearing the lenses, but I think I can safely say that I really like them.  I was hesitant to buy them at first but I really need to switch it up next time.  I'm pretty comfortable with browns, grays, and greens.  Maybe I should try blue?  (`･/д＼･)

     I'll share the video on my blog once I've uploaded it.  I wanted to publish this post as motivation to quickly edit the actual video. (^^ ; )  So the pressure is on now!

GRWM Video! 🍃🌼 Word on the J-Street: Fanatic?

Hello Cuties~!

After days of frustration and self loathing lol

I've finally uploaded my "Get ready with me: Spring Day Makeup" video!

Had a few blunders throughout the video and while editing, but hopefully you enjoy it or get a good laugh at my awkwardness.

For my next few planned videos, I want to change where I film since the lighting and quality is still not where I want it to be.
I know I won't reach the super professional quality but I want to avoid dark and washed out videos. So as my videos and my youtube channel progress, I'd love to hear your feedback!

So in related news~
Have you heard about Fanatic Magazine?

There's been a lot of talk of Japanese street fashion fading
but it's just basically a decrease in the "printing scene".  So magazines will slowly fade out; I can see that much happening even here in the U.S.  Some magazines have ceased printing and launched a big online network.
BUT
we have these few new and exciting additions to the street fashion scene.
These four students will be debuting a print magazine that will document the Japanese street fashions and  for free.
Which is fantastic news after the heartbreak of the ceased publications of KERA and FRUiTS!

I think it's really cool that they want to resurrect the printing of magazines.
I used to love collecting them!
I just wish there was a way for overseas fashion lovers to get their hands on an issue of Fanatic Magazine
