Hello Cuties~
I've yet to doll up, but I did have a mini "stay-cation" this month. Prince and I took four days off from work to spend some time together and recoup from the past few hectic months.
We didn't do a whole bunch, but we did plan one day to drive a city over for a day of fun. Beforehand I didn't find much interest in my state's capital. However, recently Instagram advertised to me two places I just HAD to check out. Bōru Ramen, obviously a ramen restaurant (lol). And Sweet Society, an Asian dessert spot!
I bought this dress from an African shop downtown so I don't know the brand; it's short, flirty, but cute. This was much needed R&R, so I didn't do makeup. Before we hit the road we stopped in one of our favorite sweet shops, Sweet Handkraft, for mochi donuts!
Every Sunday they bake mochi donuts! They offer a bunch of flavors; this time we tried lychee rose, strawberry, Hokkaido milk tea, Vietnamese iced coffee, and cookies & cream! They were DEEELICIOUS! (っ˘ڡ˘ς)
So with donuts and bubble tea in hand, we took off. The drive took 1 hour to reach our destination. Shockingly, I've never been to Mall of Louisiana so we took a pit stop there. The mall is pretty damn big, I had no idea! I would've visited years ago! We didn't even get to explore the entirety of it, but here's what I bought.
Hottopic and Spencer's really got me good (lol). Their hottopic is way better than the one back home. I almost bought some Gloomy Bear stuff, maybe I can find it online (I did get 2 coupons that day 👀). Also, do y'all see how cute the Monster High skull earrings are?!
Funny thing, Bōru Ramen and Sweet Society are located on the same property. The Electric Depot : a lovely hangout spot in mid-city! I can only imagine how nice it looks at night with all the string lights~ But it looks pretty in the daytime too! Lots of space to meet up with friends and enjoy treats, food and coffee.

I actually didn't get to take a pic of our ramen (T_T), I was too hungry and excited. So here's an example from their website.
They have 7 types of ramen (including a vegan option) and a long list of add-ons to customize your bowl! You can see why I was so excited (lmao). Now I also saw a video about this place on tiktok so I'm happy to say the hype was worth it. Next . . . dessert!
Sweet Society is so cute on the inside~ There's a photo-op spot when you walk in, a wooden swing with a leafy backdrop. Unfortunately it was occupied, but I found another nice spot to take photos.
If you're familiar with Somi Somi, it's similar. You pick your ice cream flavor, topping, and filling for the waffle cone. Sweet Society also offers boba, baked treats, and bingsu (which is what Prince ordered). I picked Hokkaido milk x ube swirl, roasted almonds and nutella filling! So tasty!
On our last night, we paid a visit to our current favorite Italian restaurant, A Tavola.
Finally wore my butterfly chain dress! It's still very hot here so it was perfect to wear before the weather does change.
Tried grilled bruschetta for the first time and it was pretty good! Had glass of prosecco and biscotti gelato for dessert too~ It was a lovely evening ♥.
Besides that, we spent most of our time watching horror movies and the Cyberpunk series. It was a nice little break from our bustling schedules. Although the wait is long until our next big vacation, I can make it with my sanity intact with this "breather" in between the time. Hope this wasn't too boring, thank you for reading!
