I hope you've all been well~ It's almost Summer (and yet I'm still so behind in posts lmaooo)! This was back when I wanted to share more than just my dressup days. Let's be honest this is more of a "slice of life" kind of blog . . . I just happen to be Gal (・θ・). (Should I change things? Maybe more informative posts?)
Anywho, my purpose was to share with you guys one of my pastime activities. Back in March I met up with my friend Hillary for a picnic in the park! It had been a long while since we'd chatted and we both could use some fresh air and space to express ourselves. We decided to do our own "Sip & Paint"!
Hillary brought SO many supplies, I was in heaven~ She even had a mini easel for me to use. I brought watercolors, fully prepared to do something in my watercolor sketchbook. But she told me "go big!" I told her about an idea I had been mulling over for weeks. It was when they first announced the Little Mermaid live action, I saw so many cool fanarts! I was inspired for once, so I'm glad she pushed me to just try.
I free handed this so be kind (lol). It's been some time since I fiddled with acrylics, but so far I like it. It's incredible to see Halle as Ariel, I just had to paint her! As you can tell, I'm no where near done. I want to put a lot of details into this. I want to make this a very texturized painting. Sort of upraised from the canvas . . . 3d if you understand what I mean? Her dreadlocks are going to be a lot of fun to create! Sadly I haven't touched it since this day, and the movie is out now. But better late, than never!
Hope this wasn't too boring of a read~

That is such a cute idea! I never really know what to do at picnics. Having little art projects to do would be so fun!
ReplyDeleteAlso I like seeing the slice of life posts to be honest. It's like seeing how real gyaru live! Of course, if you come up with ideas for informative posts, those would be so welcomed too <3
Yay!! I'm glad to hear you like these kinds of posts too! I will try to create some good informative posts soon 👍 it's always just a matter of finding a topic I'm really interesting in talking about lol!
DeleteAnd you should totally try doing artsy stuff during a picnic! People kept passing by to see what we were painting lol
