The Little Mermaid 🌊

Hello Cuties~

I'm back with my next update!  This was a fun date day for me and Prince.  And I came with a new look, surprising my fiancé.

Burgundy boho braids!
I feel I look like Halle as Ariel~

It's giving major mermaid vibes.  Burgundy has always been one of my mom's favorite hair colors.  She wore it a lot in the early 2000s, so it was exciting to see it on myself.

I kept things light for my makeup, however I tried doing something different with my eyebrows.

Wearing my Candy Magic "Sugar Brown" lenses.  They're pretty cute, but I'm still searching for the perfect brown lens.  Both top and bottom lashes are from aliexpress.  And the search is still on for inexpensive lashes suitable for gyaru.  Porcelain by Sugar Pill is #1, but I need lashes for subtle looks.  Porcelain is for the drama, baby!

dress . . . Forever21
shoes . . . Skechers
accessories . . . Gems by Jericho, Juicy Couture

I wanted so badly to do a saike gyaru look, but I didn't pull forth the proper accessories to transform my coord.  Maybe if I had a headscarf . . . (¬⤙¬ )  But anywho, onto our date!

Instagram influences me more than I'd like.  I decided to follow a reel where a local showed where she had eaten that week.  One spot was a sushi joint we'd never bothered to try.  So we figured it was the perfect day.  We pass Fuji Sushi often, but I've never seen much foot traffic there.

My roll was okay, I think the oil they used to fry my tempura may have been old.  Prince's roll was amazing of course.  It was called the Mexico and it was delicious.  (¬_¬)  I don't understand how he gets so lucky all the time.

I was able to redeem myself though!  Next door is a new ice cream place I've been wanted to try.  Monarca is exactly like La Michoacana if you're familiar with them.  The décor inside was super cute!  I couldn't help but take pictures there.

How cute!!!
Their fruit paletas are the bees-knees!!

We chilled for a couple of hours at his home after that.  We watched Archer and soon we were hungry for dinner.  I turned to Instagram for dinner roulette and ended up on Afrodisiac :  a Jamaica x New Orleans fusion restaurant.  They also had a beautiful interior!

One look at the food and I was SUPER excited!  I ordered jerked turkey necks, smothered cabbage, and sweet potato/plantain mash.  Would you believe I tore into that so quickly I didn't get any food pics (lmaoo).  To say the least, it was phenomenal!  Definitely have to return to Afrodisiac soon.

I got a new Summer scent!!
I get complimented on it by men and women~  Prince especially loves it!  It lingers on me for longer than most people are describing, so that's a plus for me.  Plus it's affordable!  I'll probably rebuy this every Summer now.  ദ്ദി(。•̀ ,<)~✩‧₊

  4. Yaay! Finally catching up with your posts! What I adore about the braids & something I have never seen before are the curls that stick out *-* Ah, how could that jamaican x new orleans cuisine be like?

    1. Yeess I love the curls too! I feel like it fits the cuter styles / outfits really well. And hmmm I'd say there are lots of spices involved in this cuisine. Everything on the menu is like comfort food, things that make you feel warm and happy when you eat it . . . but spicy too lol!

Thank you for taking the time to read my blog! :3
