Reunited & It Feels So Good

Hello Cuties~

Quick little blog about my family reunion during labor day weekend.  This was days before I became ill so I got to have some fun.  Friday I got my hair done at a salon and spent my day with Prince.

I visited Nola Braider and was serviced by Sey.  She works FAST (lol).  We started at 10am and I was finished around 12:30pm (and that's wash, dry, braid, and crochet).  With the rest of my day, I got snowballs and lunch with Prince.

A first for us both, we tried A Chance in Hell snowballs.  What's different about them is their flavors are all house-made and made from real ingredients!  All flavors involve the actual fruits (locally sourced if I'm correct).  And they even have a vegan condensed milk option made from coconut.  They have bigger snowballs, but I went with their flight special of minis.  I think pineapple upside-down was my favorite.

The reunion was a 5 hour road trip away so we set off on Saturday.  We came a day late so we missed the crawfish festival (womp womp).  But day two was a huge picnic!

The picnic went on for 4 hours so many left before the group photo.  (We got to see just how big of a turn out things were that night at the banquet .  .  . )  Boyyyy was it hot on that court!

Banquet had a black and white dress code, so I wore my Francesca's dress.  The event was held at a huge casino, but I wish it were in the day to see a horserace.

I look ethereal here~

The banquet was lovely.  I got to meet a lot of people, see many family members I haven't seen in a long time.  Dance, drink and just be merry.  My favorite portion of the night was getting to see the set up of my late grandfather's artwork.  My uncle put the arrangement together himself.  He showcased my grandfather's work and his influence upon all his descendants.  I felt honored to have my artwork showcased alongside his.  My uncle had me and my sister pose with our pieces.

I remember we did these together in my grandpa's art studio when we were 17 and 11 under his watchful eyes.  It's a summer I recall well~  We even got a shoutout during one of the speeches!  Some family were really shocked to know we created these.

The last day was a very peaceful Sunday.  We attended a church service and lounged around for most of the day.  I just like being around my grandmother; her home is such a nostalgic place to be.  So I soak that in for a long as I can whenever I visit.

Bebe top I found at Ross!

My co-workers and friends have been spoiling me like crazy!! (。Ó᎔ ก̀๑)  During my shift I got gifted these earring and purse!  (Thank you Kourtney!! ♥)

Claw clips from this local shop called Miette.  I also got My Melody travel utensil set, but I never took a picture of it (lol).  I tried to not go crazy in there, but I WILL be back.  (ᗒᗜᗕ)՛̵̖

Thanks for reading this short update.  I promise the next post will be exciting!  And a gal look to come!

xoxo, Amiman♥

    1. Thank you (´;ω;`) I hope when I get my own house I get to have some of his artwork to keep. Grandparents really do bring feelings of warmth~ I get sad watching them grow old. I'm happy I have many memories to look back on (my family is huge on having photo books / albums). ♥
