A Little "T.L.C" - feat. T&T Essential

Hello Cuties~

Guess who's under the weather . . .
Yea I don't know where this came from.  But now I'm trying to pour into myself for a speedy recovery.  Months ago I purchased an herbal book.  Funny thing is I saw this on a tiktok years ago and held the screenshot up until I finally bought it.  I initially did it to learn headache and pain remedies because I really dislike medication.

Today I took a page from this book to combat my sore throat.  So I've been drinking a concoction of fresh garlic, ginger root, honey, and lemon over warm water.  I feel it's doing wonders already.

On the note of self-maintenance, I've gotten some help from a co-worker and friend of mine.  Tremeka is the mind behind her own body care line : T&T Essential.  And she hooked me up with all the goodies I need for a little "tlc" (tender loving care).

  • Magnolia Love body oil
  • Sugar and Vanilla body oil
  • Apricot Peach body butter
  • Oatmeal Turmeric soap
Now let's talk about these products!  I could not WAIT to use this soap.  I love textured soaps that really scrub the skin when I'm looking for exfoliation.  The lather against a washcloth is insane.  Who doesn't love soapy bubbles? (lol)  It leaves my skin feeling soft and supple~  And the smell is light and non-offensive.  Peeps with sensitive noses and skin would really benefit from its natural ingredients!  I'm eager to try her other soaps!!

Body oils are perfect for someone trying to get into perfumes.  You get a lot more control over the scent this way.  It's easy to overspray a perfume, but an oil doesn't take much.  They last longer in my opinion and helloooo, moisturizing too!  I like to layer them with sprayable perfumes to create unique scents.  I've used the Sugar and Vanilla on its own for the days I want a soft, sweet scent.  The Magnolia Love oil is really light to me, not heavy at all.  So I'd recommend both scents to people that want to avoid strong smells.  I actually layer Magnolia with other floral perfumes in my collection; especially ones that lack longevity.

I've been having fun pairing the Apricot Peach body butter with my perfumes.  So far my favorite pairing is with Ed Hardy's Hearts & Daggers.  Perfect for warm weather or Summer time.  A little goes a long way with this product!  It's on the thicker side and makes my skin feel just like "buddah"~  Love putting this on after a shower and plopping into bed.  Which I should be doing right now.

Thanks for reading!

  1. Haha I read your whole post, I closed the tab & then I was like "NO!". I always love when you analyze scents. Yeah, medications suck, plus they are so unnatural, so it's great you

    2. I'm happy to hear you enjoy my scent talks~~ ( ⸝⸝´꒳`⸝⸝) there's a youtuber I follow that makes the best descriptions of perfumes. She paints a scenario on how it smells to her lol. I love it! She'd probably say "this makes my mouth water, yea? Like I'm on a private beach, soaking up the sun with a peach bellini cocktail!" ᕙ( •̀ ᗜ •́ )ᕗ

And omg I agree, I feel most medicines really mess up my stomach. So I'm going the herbal route and so far it's helped a lot. ^^
